Hannah
Co-Founder
Primary School Teacher
Hannah is one of the founding owners of Mini Explorers Sensory Play Inc.
After becoming a new mum to her baby boy Teddy, at the beginning of 2023, she soon realised there were limited opportunities available for new mums, babies and toddlers in the Warrnambool area. After roping in another fellow mum, they developed the idea of offering sensory play experiences with opportunities to enhance parents' knowledge and skills around play, investigation and exploration.
Hannah has been teaching for over seven years and has held a variety of inclusive education leadership roles over this time. She attended university at ACU in Ballarat to complete her Bachelor of Primary Education and then went on to further attain her Diploma of Teaching Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Hannah has also undertaken professional development in the area of Sensory Play and Play Therapy.
Throughout her career, she has developed a deep appreciation for the role of the parent as the ‘first teacher’ and knows the importance of providing rich, authentic experiences in early childhood. Hannah is passionate about introducing sensory play in early childhood as it encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity.
